“All The King’s Men” Horse & Musket Demo Game
Go to war as a true gentleman…..with 54mm toy soldiers! Ken Cliffe cordially invites you to join him at the “ATKM Toy Soldiers” table as he demonstrates ATKM’s rules for the Horse & Musket period using their very own line of 54mm soldiers. Although these easy-to-learn, fun-to-play rules are specifically designed to be used with 54mm toy soldiers, this is not skirmish level gaming! Big soldiers, big battles, big fun! Everything needed to play the game will be provided. Just bring your memory of what got you into wargaming in the first place. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Session 1 (Friday 1 PM to 5 PM)

Session 2 (Friday 7 PM to Midnight)

Around midday, it ran into advancing elements of the Soviet 22nd Tank Division sent to intercept their advance. Will the Germans be able to punch through the Soviet’s defensive line or will the Red Army stop the German advance? Black Cross or Red Star…..which one carries the day is up to you! Track and Hull stalwart, Kirk Harris, brings us this WWII platoon level game using 20mm figures and Disposable Heroes rules. There will be room for six players.

Salvo Atoll
The US Navy is constructing a forward base on Enewetok to contest the Central Pacfic with the Japanese. The Japanese launch a nighttime raid on the US anchorage with the intention of sinking vulnerable transports before they can be unloaded. US surface patrols, surprised by the raiding Japanese, have to react to save the transports and the Navy’s plans for a Pacific presence. So whether it’s the Star Spangled Banner or the Rising Sun…..strike your colors and set a course for destiny! Jessee Scarborough, inspired by Hector Bywater’s book depicting a naval war between the US and Japan in 1931, brings us this Inter-war naval game using 1:6000 scale ships and “Biplanes & Battleships – The Great Pacific War”. There will be space for 6 players.
Valle de la Muerte
Canto de Furlong separates the Lago de Langford plains to the southwest from the Valle de la Muerte to the north. French forces are encamped around Amargo Fuente, the only water source for miles, to observe the pass between Canto de Furlong and La Ballena Negro. The Spanish provincial forces in La Ballena Negro must clear the pass and unite with the British in Canto de Furlong at all costs. The French force, with its advantage of a central position, plans to prevent the unification of the enemy and deny them the victory. Mark Johnson presents this Peninsular War battle using 25mm figures and “Bonaparte” rules. There will be openings for up to 6 players.
Reckoning at Sidling Hill
Led by the Shawnee Shindas, Shawnee & Delaware raiders surrounded, attacked and set ablaze the small Western Pennsylvania settlement of Ft. McCord, killing 27 settlers and taking 9 women and children hostage. The raiders then retired back to their base at Kittanning. Captain Cuthberson gathered a few Rangers and, supported by local Militia, set out the next morning to rescue the captives and put an end to Shindas’ raids. They caught up with his band at Sidling Creek. Bob Moon, sponsored by the Jacksonville Garrison and Sash & Saber, brings us this French & Indian War scenario in 40mm using the F&IW variant of “Brother Against Brother”. There will be room for 8 players. Children under 16 must be accompanied by playing adult. An MVP trophy will be awarded. So grab your musket and try to save the hostages or get out your tomahawk to defend your spoils of war.
Session 4 (Saturday 1 PM to 5 PM)
Mech’s? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Mech’s!
The colonists on Adelaide IV were always an unstable lot but things have gotten ugly. They burned down the Governor’s compound, cobbled together a rag-tag military force, and now they’ve declared themselves an independent nation. The saber rattling has gotten ominous. The forces of the Federated Commonwealth, however, are about to rattle back. A military response is essential but they must proceed with caution in order to prevent a media circus. FedCom High Command feels any signs of “over-kill” should be avoided so Battle Mech deployment is out. Instead, the combat armor of the 3rd Ceti Hussars will be sent to quell the rebellion. Besides, they’re just a bunch of farmers playing army! Bryant Williams presents this Sci-Fi game set in the Battletech universe using 10mm figures and his own quick and easy rules, “80 Tons of Metal and a PPC”. There’s room for 8 players so button-up the hatches, count your AP rounds and zero-in your gun sights! We’re rollin’ hot!
A Dark and Bloody Ground
Moonglade’s Dark Elves and Goblins have mounted a raid on the nearby Halfling settlement but help is on the way. The Wood Elves of Wyldewood have gathered and are marching forth to thwart the plans of their evil kin. Author John McBride, of Splintered Light Miniatures, returns to Nashcon to bring us this 15mm fantasy mass battle using his very own “PRIDE OF LIONS” rules set. The rules feature fast play, simple mechanics with lots of decisions to be made by the players each turn. There will be room for up to 8 participants and kids are welcome with a helping adult. The rules system will be taught during the session. So grab your sword and strap on your shield. There’s blade-work to be done!
Battle for Hardt
After the Ruhr crossings in February of 1945, the US 84th Infantry Division encountered light resistance. On February 28, after clearing the village of Hehler, the division advanced on to the small hamlet of Hardt. Little did they know that remnants of the 8th Fallschirmjager were waiting there for them, determined to slow down the American advance. You’re invited to pick a side and help decide the outcome of this battle. Track and Hull stalwart, Kirk Harris, brings us this WWII platoon level game using 20mm figures and Disposable Heroes rules. There will be room for six players.
Session 5 (Saturday 7 PM to Midnight)
A Gamble of Empires
It’s the summer of 1214 and the Angevin-Flanders war has been raging for 12 years. Otto IV, Emperor of Germany, invades France with an army of Holy Roman Empire, English and Flemish troops. He will face off with the French army, led by King Philip Augustus, near the quiet village of Bouvines on the border of the Low Countries. At stake is either a kingdom or an empire as the loser most likely loses all! Whatever the outcome, the repercussions of this battle will echo throughout Europe! Allen Campbell and Pat Pursley bring us this medieval battle in 15mm using modified “Medieval Tactica” rules. There will be openings for 6 players. Children must be accompanied by a playing adult.
Raid on St. Francis
After years of putting up with raids on the small farms and settlements of upstate New York, the British have decided to chastise the Indians by attacking their base at St. Francis. Robert Rodgers and his Rangers, aided by Provincial and Local Militia, set forth to try to punish the Indians for their past misdeeds and hopefully deal a heavy blow to French influence in the area. Join the defenders of St. Francis and help protect it from the wrath of the British or gather up your powder and shot and attempt to give your King his retribution! Bob Moon, sponsored by the Jacksonville Garrison and Sash & Saber, brings us this French & Indian War scenario in 40mm using the F&IW variant of “Brother Against Brother”. There will be room for 7 players. Children under 16 must be accompanied by playing adult. An MVP trophy will be awarded.
The Fuhrerbunker
It’s May of 1945 and the Russian commanders are keen to capture Adolf Hitler and present him to Stalin. There’s just one problem. Hitler’s condition and whereabouts remain unknown. He was last seen outside his bunker two weeks ago on his birthday. Rumors of his escape or death are circulating among the soldiers of both armies but nothing is certain until the Fuhrer’s bunker has been captured and secured by the Red Army. Chris Edmondson brings us this WWII skirmish scenario from Iron Ivan’s Race for the Reichstag using their Disposable Heroes rules and 20mm figures. There’ll be room for up to 6 players so come join the action as they play out one of the final stages of the Great Patriotic War!
